For me the Linux just wasn' t enough, but you may find it fine for your needs. You' re not going to run video editing software, but Chrome, Tweetdeck and VLC is never a problem.On the downside, you' re gonna want to put XP on it. Processor is quick, the Atom core works well for what this netbook is designed for. The screen size is also top notch, giving you compact design, yet plenty of real estate. It has a fantastic keyboard, everything thing in the right place, and the keys feel sturdy too.The screen is fantastic, backlit LED I believe, which makes it fantastically bright and vibrant. The Acer Aspire One is a great netbook, that comes in the top ten list, petty close to the top too.

I highly recommend this model if someone was serious about picking up a netbook.

All in all at ~$320 this is my go to PC I use it for everything, again except for 3D gaming. I have also used the built-in webcam and built-in microphone to make quite a few video skype calls and the quality seems decent (or so I hear).

Mainly I use this for syncing my ipod with itunes, web browsing (email, news, youtube, etc), 'Office Applications' (Word, Excel, etc), Quickbooks, Torrents, and Also find it quite a nice way to watch my streaming Netflix over WiFi (with headphones of course.the integrated stereo speakers aren' t very loud). I mainly use it at home and it never really gets unplugged so for me battery life isn' t really an issue although when I' ve taken it to class or starbucks and the like it' ll usually last for a little over three hours of use (screen brightness turned down). I purchased this 'netbook' about 5 months ago (Feb 2009) at a local Walmart for $299.99 (plus sales tax) and I have to say it has been worth every penny! Now obviously with a smaller notebook or 'netbook' you arent going to have as much power so if youre not a PC gamer or already have a gaming dedicated PC then I highly suggest this computer.
